Canada extends sanctions against Russia

Canada has expanded sanctions against Russia for violating Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

The announcement was made by Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolie in Ottawa, a Ukrainianform correspondent reported.

“For any actions by President Putin in violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity, Canada will not hesitate to take appropriate retaliation. Canada will tirelessly claim responsibility for the wrong actions of the Russian regime. We support Ukraine and its people.” Do it,” said Jolie.

The Ministry of External Affairs specified that the new restrictions would apply to 22 natural and 4 legal persons.

“Approvals include heads of Russian financial institutions and their family members, as well as major financial institutions and banks,” the foreign ministry said.

The ministry stressed that Canada “will continue to explore new ways to pressure the Russian regime.”

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, Canada has imposed sanctions on more than 1,000 Ukrainian, Russian and Belarusian individuals and entities who contributed to this illegal invasion.
