Third game, third win at the Ice Hockey World Championship in Riga. Led by the excellent Isaberen goalkeeper Mathias Niederberger, DEB Select Canada wrestled 3: 1 (2: 1, 0: 0, 1: 0).

First World Cup win against Maple in 25 years. This is ice cream madness!

Master bearers Lucas Reichel, Marcel Noebels, Leo Fodderl and Jonas Muller are not in demand as wizards, as they were against Italy (9: 4) and Norway (5: 1), but as hard workers. And like the rest of the team, they too can do this.

Do not panic

Following the double strikes of Stephen Loible (11th) and Matthias Plakta (12th), it will be an incredible defensive battle against the Canadians, who are assured for the first time in the tournament. But the 25-time world champion gets no more than 2: 1 by Nick Paul (19th).

Because the people of national coach Tony Soderholm never panic, accept every duel, throw themselves in every shot and always seek out playful solutions.

Quarter final is on wednesday

And because they are freezing from the cold. When Canada pulled out of Brektsang and lifted the goalkeeper from the ice for an extra field player, Corbynian Holzer took the first opportunity and surrounded the puck 3–1 in the orphaned enclosure (58th) on almost the entire ice surface. The rest is irreplaceable cheers.
