With increasing reports of fraud with COVID certificates, cantons are becoming increasingly annoyed with the practice of issuing certificates. Most other cantons would support the cause.

Grisons Canton doctor Marina Jamanicki complained about a high potential for abuse. Jamnicki states that the canton does not have “direct insight into the system” and therefore does not know “who, when, how many certificates”. The Canton of Aargau also criticized the fact that forgery and fraud are currently only discovered by chance.
According to SRF, BAG is already responding to cases of abuse. The authorization concept is being revised. In addition, suspected cases are to be reported in the canton regularly in the future.
