Ryanair flies from Dürer Airport to new dream destinations - these include EU destinations - Nuremberg

– Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg has two tough years behind it. The number of passengers decreased due to the pandemic. A new base should now give impetus.

After several difficulties due to the pandemic, things are looking up again at Albrecht Dürer airport Nuremberg: two machines from Irish airline Ryanair are now stationed at the airport.

“Renair is pleased to announce its largest flight schedule ever to Nuremberg, with over 90 weekly flights on 29 routes, including 15 new routes,” the airline’s marketing director Dara Brady said at the base’s opening. According to the airline, the new routes include Dublin, Valencia, Madeira and Chania.

According to Ryanair, about 184 million euros will be invested; An increased presence in Nuremberg will create 60 new jobs. “RyanAir’s partnership in Nuremberg will significantly enrich our route network: private and business travelers will benefit from a balanced mix of Mediterranean tourist destinations, attractive city connections and destinations for family trips in Central and Eastern Europe,” said airport owner Michael Hup says.


Strong Mallorca Offers

The airport’s press office recently announced that the holiday airline Condor is now flying daily from Nuremberg again to Mallorca. Half a million people can fly to the island in summer; Corendon, Eurowings and Ryanair also offer this connection. According to the airport, there are plans for up to 46 departures per week in the high season from May.
