The pressure on former US President Trump may increase further in the controversy over the confidential papers of his tenure. According to the American media, two more documents have been found – those of Trump’s loved ones.

According to media reports, at least two secret documents have been found in a storage room of former US President Donald Trump in Florida. The Washington Post and CNN reported a search team appointed by Trump himself, citing informants familiar with the matter.

Documents turned over to FBI

The documents marked as classified were handed over to the FBI. No information is available about its contents.

Trump’s team examined the storage room as part of a larger search of several Republican properties, it said. Trump was previously asked to comment on whether he had given all documents classified as confidential, secret or top secret to the FBI.

Background of the controversy over the handling of government documents that has been going on for months: On August 8, the FBIN Florida and seized, among other things, documents from his tenure marked as “Secret” and “Top Secret”.

Prior to this, the National Archives – which is responsible for storing presidential records – had been attempting to obtain Trump’s papers for months. The 76-year-old could have been convicted by submitting the papers at his home. The allegation of obstruction of justice is also being probed.
