German Alpine women get podium-experienced reinforcements. Canadian-born Ronnie Remme would start for the German Ski Association in the future. “I am honored and very excited to be driving for Germany,” 26-year-old Reme said on Instagram.

One World Championship, Two Olympics, One World Cup Podium

All-rounder Remay has participated in 65 World Cup races so far in his career, the 2018 and 2022 Olympics and the 2019 World Ski Championships. His best performance was second at the Alpine Combined World Cup in February 2019. Remme, whose grandmother is German, also finished in the top 10 at the World Cup three times.

In May 2022, an application for a change of nation was made to the world federation FIS. The newcomers to the German Ski Association have now only gone public via Reme’s Instagram post on October 12, 2022.
