andress+hauser has opened a new customer and training center in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, as a message emerges. It covers an area of ​​4400 square meters and hence is twice as big as the previous space. Andres+Hauser has invested a total of 20 million euros.

The center of the new location is a process engineering training facility – the second of its kind in Canada, according to Andres + Hauser. Customers can practice using the measuring instruments on the system. The new center also includes a calibration laboratory, a workshop and about 120 workstations.

According to the announcement, the new location is “deemed to be one of the ‘green’ company buildings in the country”. Its power requirements are covered by over 800 solar modules on the roof, which can generate approximately 408,000 kilowatt hours of electrical power per year. A geothermal system has also been installed, which extracts heat from 50 wells at a depth of 180 metres.
