BJP Leader Shot Lifeless By Terrorists In J&K, His Stability Cover Was Lacking

Jammu and Kashmir BJP leader Sheikh Wasim, his father and brother have been killed by terrorists late Wednesday evening in the union territory’s Bandipore district.

A BJP district president, Sheikh Wasim was sitting down at a store, with his relatives, when the terrorists opened fire. All three ended up wounded and rushed to medical center, where by they ended up pronounced lifeless.

“Terrorists fired on BJP worker Wasim Bari at Bandipora. In the course of indiscriminate firing Wasim Bari, his father Bashir Ahmad and brother Umer Bashir obtained hurt and shifted to hospital, but all 3 succumbed to their accidents,” J&K Police tweeted.

J&K Law enforcement DGP Dilbag Singh was quoted by news agency ANI as declaring the spouse and children had an eight-member protection attachment but “however, none of them was saved at the time of the incident”.

Personalized safety officers (PSOs) comprehensive to guard Mr Wasim and his loved ones will be arrested for dereliction of responsibility, officials said.

Senior BJP leader Ram Madhav reported he was stunned by the killing.

“Stunned and saddened by the killing of younger BJP chief Wasim Bari and his brother by terrorists in Bandipora. This regardless of 8 safety commandos. Condolences to the household,” Mr Madhav tweeted, noting that Mr Wasim’s father was also a BJP “senior leader”.

Previous J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tweeted, saying he condemned the attack and presented his condolences to grieving family associates at this time.

“Sorry to hear about the murderous terror assault on the BJP functionaries & their father in Bandipore previously this night. I condemn the attack. My condolences to their families in this time of grief,” Mr Abdullah stated.

“Unfortunately the violent concentrating on of mainstream political staff continues unabated,” he extra.
