Amid political mudslinging amongst the opposition Congress and the ruling BJP on the issue of donations from Chinese firms, the Congress has alleged that PM-CARES fund also gained donations from Chinese firms.
Senior Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi claimed “Why has PM Modi been given Chinese revenue in the PM-CARES fund, even with the overt Chinese hostilities? Has PM received Rs 7 crore from the controversial business Huawei? Does Huawei have a direct relationship with People’s Liberation Army of China? Has the Chinese business possessing TikTok facilitated a donation of Rs 30 crore to the controversial PM CARES Fund?”

The Congress has also asked if Paytm, which has 38 for each cent Chinese ownership, offered Rs 100 crore, Oppo 1 crore and Xiaomi Rs 15 crore in the fund.
“Has Key Minister Modi diverted the donations gained in PMNRF to the controversial PM-CARES Fund and how many hundred crores is the amount diverted?” Singhvi requested.
Singhvi mentioned experiences advise that as on May 20, 2020, the fund acquired Rs 9,678 crore. “The stunning portion is that although Chinese forces have transgressed into our territory, Prime Minister has received the income in the fund from Chinese companies,” he alleged.
“No 1 appreciates the constitutional or operational framework of the PM-CARES fund and how it is controlled or funds was supplied to it utilised. The fund is not even matter to audit by any public authority like CAG. PMO has long gone to the extent of indicating this fund is not a general public authority.”
“The fund seems to be entirely operate by the Prime Minister in an opaque and solution vogue with zero transparency and zero accountability,” claimed Singhvi.
The Congress spokesperson questioned that “if the Primary Minister of India will compromise his posture by accepting donations of hundreds of crores from Chinese corporations in the controversial and opaque fund, then how will he defend the region versus Chinese aggression?”
The Congress alleged that the Modi government continues to sidestep the brazen Chinese transgressions and occupation of Indian territory by Chinese forces in Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso lake place, Incredibly hot Springs and Depsang plains up to Y-Junction.
“Primary Minister Narendra Modi unashamedly misleads the nation and serves the sinister agenda of the Chinese by proclaiming that China has never ever intruded into the Indian territory, nor is it in profession of any territory,” alleged Singhvi.
The Congress chief said that the bash will keep inquiring these questions in the nationwide curiosity.
