CRA hit by two cyberattacks affecting thousands of accounts

The Canada Profits Company exposed it was strike by two cyberattacks in a knowledge breach that compromised the own details of hundreds of Canadians.

The CRA advised CTV Saturday, at minimum 5,500 accounts have been impacted by the hack, which is now “contained.” The CRA’s ‘My Account,’ ‘My Business Account’ and ‘Represent a Client’ ended up focused in the cyberattacks.

The breaches involved fraudulent CERB payments. E-mail addresses and immediate deposit facts had been also uncovered.
