After beating the first title contender Sweden, the Swiss curlers around Skip Yannick Schwaler lost the game against second main favorite Canada 6:10 at the World Championships in Las Vegas.

After 3 loops, CC Bernd Zehringer’s Marcel Kaufler, Romano Maier, Michael Brunner and Yannick Schwaler led 4:0. A Canadian four-house in the fourth half marked the turnaround and the second half was for the crew of former world champion and Olympic gold medalist Brad Gushu.

After 3 matches, the Swiss have one win and two losses. They still have every chance to continue with the World Cup tournament. On the one hand, the round robin lasts twelve rounds, and on the other, games against the two best teams are already behind them.
