FIFA 23: Kylian Mbappe shares cover with Samantha May Kerr - SOCCER

Of soccerSimulator “FIFA” by Electronic Arts is one of the most popular sports games in the world. Millions of fans are eagerly waiting for the annual offshoot to slip into the virtual role of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Kylian Mbappe in their living rooms.

It is a great honor for the top stars to grace the cover of the game. The latest part of the series will be released on September 27. “FIFA 23” is already the 30th part of the popular game. And this year on the cover of “FIFA 23” there is a real revolution.

Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe (23) will be back again. For the third time in a row, the French world champion appeared on the cover of “FIFA”. However, this time around PSG Superstars will have to share the space – at least on “FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition”.

The special edition of the game will also feature Samantha May “Sam” Kerr (28). And this is a real revolution. Kerr is the first woman in the world to be featured on the cover of Ultimate Edition. The Australia international is a goalscorer for Chelsea FC and his country’s record goalscorer.

But she’s not the first woman to appear on the cover of “FIFA.” “FIFA 16” featured a national version – some countries have different versions – featuring different players in addition to superstar Lionel Messi (35). Co-starring Stephanie Catley in Australia, Alex Morgan in the US and Christine Sinclair in Canada.

Now Kerr is the first woman on a FIFA Ultimate Edition cover. This version of the game has significantly more content than the standard version – but it is much more expensive than the “normal” version of the soccer simulator.

The popular series will be seen for the last time this year under the name “FIFA”. From 2023 the game will be published under the name “EA Sports FC”. So the next revolution is waiting for the players in the coming year.
