After disappointment over broken submarine deal Australia wants to France Relations with Indonesia. Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian signed a “plan of action for a stronger partnership” with his Indonesian colleague Retno Marsudi in Jakarta on Wednesday. This specifically includes defense and a maritime dialogue, Le Drian told reporters.
Indonesia Has been in talks with France for several months to buy 36 Rafale aircraft and is also interested in submarines and other weapons. The agreement also extends to health, energy and climate.
The new agreement with Indonesia also affects cooperation between the two countries on health, energy and the fight against climate change.
