Gallery Scolarta - HBLW Saalfelden: From Canada back to Pingau

For Gernot Dick, an adventurer and artist with Pinjagou roots who has lived and worked in Canada for more than six decades, this is not a culture shock but a new inspiration. Two years ago he returned to Saalfelden and is now showing his powerful and colorful works created since his “coming home” at the Scholarta gallery in Saalfelden.

In his moving speech to the very well attended Vernissage at the Scholarta Gallery, Dick praised the high regard for the arts and culture in his old country. For him, a deeper engagement with art and nature is also the key to overcoming the climate crisis. Director Petra Schleicher opened his last exhibition at HBLW before his retirement, congratulating 4 HLD for the professional work he did as part of his lesson in “Event and Catering Management”. Culinary-fortified by Pinzgauer Donuts in two variations from the HBLW kitchen, regional beer from Pinzgauer Donuts in Brück, wine from Kreispel winery in Straden in south-eastern Styria and gin from Hirschbichler products in Saalfelden, many art lovers Took the opportunity Talk to Gernot Dick about his actions and his adventurous life.
