A Swedish referee falls to the ground after colliding with a Canadian ice hockey player. The game is briefly interrupted.

Stuttgart – Traumatic collision at the Olympic Games: Swedish referee Veronika Löwensno collapses with a body check during the women’s ice hockey group game between Canada and Finland on Saturday.

A Canadian player and referee ignore each other and bump into each other on the ice. As the player continues, Lowensno goes down. She stays there for a few moments.

The other referees bow down to him, and the players also ask if all is well.

Moments later referee Veronica Lowensno moves, play continues.



The game ended bitterly for Finland. Canada clearly wins the party with 11:1 (2:1.5:0.4:0) and takes the lead in Group A. Finland is in fourth place without points.
