In action for Canada in Gold Cup: Bayern star Alfonso Davies missed a big part of preparation

Munich – Good for Alfonso Davies, bad for Bayern: the winger is in the Canadian national team’s squad for the Gold Cup this summer and therefore missed several weeks of preparation under new coach Julian Nagelsmann.

How long will Alfonso Davies be absent from Bayern?

The Canadians begin the tournament on July 12th, with the last group game scheduled for July 18th. How long he will be absent from Bayern depends on the further performance of his team. The final is scheduled for 1 August – exactly a week later, the Munich team will have their first competitive game of the new season with a first round game in the DFB Cup.
