The little prince is nine years old!
Prince George will celebrate his ninth birthday on Friday (July 22). It’s worth noting: the British mini-royal looks more and more like her father, Prince William (40)!
To mark the day of honour, Kensington Palace has released a new golden photo of Prince George (whose full name is George Alexander Louis). The photo shows the young prince with a big smile – a happy moment captured by his mother. Duchess Kate (40) is an avid photographer and keeps posting pictures of her family on the royal Instagram page on special occasions.
Prince William joined his eldest son Prince George in a competition to mark the Queen’s 70th birth anniversary in June. The official title of George is His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge. The little man is also addressed as “Royal Highness”.
The portrait of Prince George, who is third in line to the British throne, was photographed by mama Kate earlier this month while the royal family was on vacation.
Also on the occasion of the fourth birthday of George’s brother Louis, who turns four in April, mama Kate took a picture on the beach – in Norfolk, where the family has a home.

Prince William and Duchess Kate are parents to three children: In addition to Prince George and Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte (7) is also part of the family. The little ones are the great joy of the royal couple. “I am very focused on my role as a father,” William said in an interview to the BBC. “I want to show my kids as much love as I can.”
It is not yet known what the Queen’s great-grandson will receive on his birthday. However, his mother made the birthday cake herself. “I love making cakes myself. It’s almost a tradition that I stand in the kitchen until midnight, with ridiculous amounts of cake batter and frosting, and use up pretty much everything. But I love it !” Kate once told reporters.
