In the final race of the year, three ski cross aces from the Swiss team took the podium.

  • The Swiss team also impressed with 3 podium places in the race for the second World Cup in Einichen (ITA).
  • In the men’s category, Ryan Regez (2nd) and Tobias Bauer (3rd) take the podium.
  • Fanny Smith also finished second in the second performance at Pusturtle.

As on Sunday, Ryan Regez showed an impressive performance on the second day of racing at Inichen and continued to dominate his heat at will until the final. Unlike the previous day, his roommate Tobias Bauer made it to the last four this time.

Along with Romain Detraz, a third Swiss made it to the final heat in the sixth race within 8 days for the first time this season. There it was all against the Frenchman Bastien Midol. However, he was not impressed and decided on the final against the previous day’s winner. Behind him, Bauer took his first podium spot.

However, for Detrauz, it dropped to ungrateful fourth place. The disappointment must have been limited for Vadois, after all, it was his first Top 5 placement in two and a half years. The men’s strong team performance rounded out Jose Berry to sixth place.

Smith on the podium again

For the women, it was once again up to Fanny Smith to come out of the fire for the Swiss women’s team, following the early dismissal of Sana Ludi. Talina Gantenbein missed Saturday’s qualification start due to back pain. After taking second place on Sunday, Romande secured the next day on the same day.

On Monday, Sandra Naslund won the day. The Swede was in his class again and won the final race of the year with an impressive margin. The third place went to Marielle Thompson of Canada. The Ski Cross Circus continues after the end of the year (January 14) in the Blue Mountains, Canada.
