Panda attacks the keepers at the zoo
Bad accident in Belgium: A panda kills a keeper at a zoo in the country. Other employees rush to help their colleague. The man arrives at a clinic with serious injuries.
A keeper was seriously injured by a panda at a Belgian zoo on Saturday afternoon. The man had direct contact with a four-year-old Tian Bao in a corridor publicly segregated at Panda’s home for unknown reasons, the Belga news agency reported, adding that there is the Piri Daija Zoo in the southwest of the country.
The panda wounded the guards in one arm and one leg. Colleagues reacted quickly and carried the animal without injuring it. The zookeeper was taken to the nearest hospital. Belga wrote that his life was clearly not in danger.
Generally in Piri diaza, any direct contact between human and adult pandas is prohibited for safety reasons. The bears are alone and do not tolerate intruders in their territory. It was stated that the guard had been working in the park for many years and was familiar with safety precautions.
