Former women’s tennis number one and currently 20th, Victoria Azarenka will not be able to compete at next week’s WTA 1000 tournament in Toronto.
The two-time Major winner from Belarus was denied a visa to Canada.
Azarenka, 33, has also missed Wimbledon due to a ban on players from Belarus (and Russia) following the invasion of Ukraine. Apparently he is allowed to enter the USA, where the tournament is taking place in Cincinnati.
