CC Aarau’s curlers have recovered well from the disappointment and missing out on medals at the Olympic Games. At the World Championships in Canada, Skip Silvana Tirinzoni, Alina Patz, Carol Howald and Melanie Barbezat experienced a perfect start. The Swiss quartet’s clear 12-1 victory against the Scots was already certain around Skip Gina Aitken.

Scottish women eliminated

After a two-man house in the other end with the last stone, Tirinzoni & Co. decided in the end 3 to 6. They were able to steal 2 stones 3 times, and 4 of them in round 5. The Swiss would not overestimate their success, as the Scots could only compete in three due to two failures. The standard skip Rebecca Morrison was also not available. 2 Scottish women were to play 3 stones per end.

In the second game at Prince George, Sissi Aarau meets Sweden at 5 p.m. Swiss time. You can watch the game live stream in the SRF Sport app without commenting.
