Yemen: Many dead in fighting over Marib province

During the heavy fight for the oil-rich province of Marib im Yemen Apparently at least 120 Houthi rebel fighters were killed within 24 hours. This news has been reported by the news agency citing military circles. The Houthi rebels would try to take over the strategically important city by attacking it on several fronts.

There was no information about the victims from government troops. Meanwhile, rebel-affiliated TV station Al-Masira reported air strikes by Vaughan Saudi Arab Led an alliance with the Yemeni government against the Houthis in the country.

Toughest battle since 2018

The Houthis control large parts of northern Yemen and areas where about 70 percent of the population lives.
