Amira Pochar treats her father’s relationship to the next dance

At first, Oliver Pocher stated that she “became the best in the family” with her current placement. After all, only three couples will have to go before the final. Amira immediately said: “I won’t make it to the final. I’m betting on René, Janine and Mathias.” So did the comedian:

“It’s also my assessment, that you have to go to the semi-finals a week before the final. Bastian flies this week because it’s still settled, then Sarah and then it will kill you. If there could be another surprise there , otherwise one of your favorites has to go first, and you’re definitely not there. For the moment it’s pretty clear: we want to see Janine, René and Mathias in the final, so the least number of points is always scored. “

In any case, “magic moments” will be coming. Amira has already revealed what it will be about. “Meeting my father in Egypt four years ago was a big deal. I chose this as my ‘magic moment’. I dance to the non-existent relationship and then the reunion with my father. There is one song that was really a hit all over the world, and that was ‘Papotai’ by Stroma.”

Amira chose the song for her emotional performance, explaining: “She apparently also had a difficult relationship with her father and sings in the chorus: ‘Dad, where are you?’. As for me, I was three years old when my father left. My brother was five years old. I don’t have any memories of him. Of course you are always looking for your father or that missing half during your childhood. It all sounds very awkward, but you feel incomplete and that has always been a big issue for me.”

Eventually, four years ago, a moving encounter took place, the idea for which came from the comedian. “Then when you were 25, you said to me, ‘Amirah, let’s fly to Egypt.’ Then the reunion happened, this is the story., says Amira. He will especially love Strome’s song because this song lives with this emotion, this anger.

Finally he explained: “I was no longer a sad kid, I was more of an angry kid who didn’t understand: Why can’t I have a dad? Why does everyone have a father and I don’t? I have been more powerful, proud and forward looking. It’s absolutely my thing, it really fits like a glove and I’m so happy that Massimo created such good choreography. Now I hope I can overcome it.”

Pocher said: “Now four years have passed without seeing your father. I really wanted to bring your father on the show or he could have been there. You were always against it. Why exactly?” The presenter said she would feel uncomfortable and “super nervous” then. “Of course I’m happy to see him, but not on stage or anywhere Germany, I would now like to fly again to Egypt with the children so that they can get to know their grandfather, so that he can get to know his grandchildren, but not for appearances. Certainly it would be ready for Hollywood if it stood there.”

At that point Pochar told himself, which the 29-year-old did not like at all. she explains: “You don’t need to laugh like this. If it comes, I’ll behead you. I told you, Ollie.” The father of five then said that it was too complicated to bring anyone here from Egypt. “So it probably won’t work,” he explained. Amira is “not sad about it anymore” because the reunion doesn’t have to be on the live show.

Amira said, “It doesn’t feel right to me, I wouldn’t have planned it that way.” Until recently, the contact was “a bit gone” anyway. You must have reported once in half a year. Poacher said he also thinks it’s a shame that “contact is broken like this. It’s always a little complicated at a distance, but it’s also down to what you’re trying to keep in touch with”.

By the way, her father did not come to the studio for Amira’s “Let’s Dance” performance. For this, he played her an emotional video message. In it he said: “Hello Amira, how are you darling? I know I haven’t been with you for 20 years. I wish I could be with you always. I’m glad you’re with Oliver. I have you dancing well.” Look. I wish you the best from Egypt. I love you, I miss you very much.” The moderator cried quickly, and her husband, Oliver Pocher, who was sitting in the studio, also cried after this particular “magic moment”.
