Best performance of the season in Render OceanGold Corp. (TSX: ), which closed 4.55% or 0.10 points higher at 2.30. Meanwhile, New Inc. (TSX: ) added 4.44%, or 0.04 points, to end at 0.94. Wesdom Gold Mines Limited (TSX:) was up 4.37% or 0.40 points at 9.55 in late trading.
The worst performer of the session was Shopify Inc (TSX: ), which fell 13.63%, or 6.42 points, to close at 40.69. nuwei Corp (TSX:) fell 7.66%, or 3.33 points, to close at 40.12. Canada Swan Holdings Inc (TSX:) is down 6.90%, or 1.68 points, at 22.68.
On the Toronto Stock Exchange 556 to 440 declined shares and 103 ended flat.
Measuring the S&P/TSX Options Implied, it rose 3.89% to 23.21.
Gold futures for August delivery were down 0.21%, or $3.55, at $1.00 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trading, oil for September delivery fell 1.48%, or $1.43, to $95.27 a barrel, while the October futures contract was down 0.70%, or 0.70, to trade at $99.49 a barrel.
It was flat at 0.78 at 0.23% while it was up 0.81% at 0.77.
Futures were up 0.66% at 107.06.
