Fireworks Return to English Bay

The fireworks begin promptly at 10 p.m. and will last approximately 25 minutes. They will be launched from a barge positioned in the centre of English Bay, offering viewing opportunities from beaches and surrounding waterfront areas.
Before the fireworks, visitors can enjoy live entertainment on the English Bay Bathhouse rooftop. DJ Remsta opens the evening at 6:30 p.m., followed by performances from Carlotta Gurl, Eva Lasting and Celestial Seasonings beginning at 7:30 p.m.

BBQ for a Cause Benefits the Greater Vancouver Food Bank
Marine Way Market is partnering with Save-On-Foods and the Greater Vancouver Food Bank for the “BBQ for a Cause” fundraiser during the long weekend.
Visitors can purchase a burger meal that includes chips and a soft drink, with all proceeds supporting local families experiencing food insecurity.
The event also includes product samples from brands such as Coca-Cola, Red Bull and Old Dutch, along with family activities, information about the Food Bank’s services and FoodMesh’s zero-waste initiatives. Those unable to attend can also contribute through the event’s online fundraising campaign.
Rooftop Picnic Experience Comes to Vancouver
A limited-time rooftop pop-up is bringing a garden-inspired picnic atmosphere to downtown Vancouver.
Located on the 17th-floor Aqua Lounge at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, the experience features panoramic views of the city skyline, live music and a menu inspired by classic picnic fare. Guests can enjoy Veuve Clicquot champagne and champagne-based cocktails alongside specially prepared seasonal dishes.
The pop-up marks the champagne house’s only North American “Le Picnic” installation.
Vancouver Pride Parade Headlines Weekend Celebrations
Western Canada’s Largest Pride Event Returns
The Vancouver Pride Parade takes place on Sunday, Aug. 2, continuing a tradition that attracts thousands of participants and spectators from across British Columbia and beyond.
Beginning at 1 p.m., the parade starts near BC Place on Pacific Boulevard before travelling along Pacific Street and concluding at Howe Street. More than 100 parade entries are expected, including community organizations, performers and decorated floats celebrating diversity and inclusion.
Free accessibility viewing areas will be available at the Roundhouse Community Centre on a first-come, first-served basis. BC Place will also host a donation-based Pride Pitstop from noon until 4 p.m.
The Pride festival weekend also includes the Trans March on Friday, July 31, and the Vancouver Dyke March on Saturday, Aug. 1, highlighting the city’s longstanding commitment to supporting LGBTQ2S+ communities.
