Alpine Skiing: Frame calendar set for Tony Tremell and Marlene Schmötz

When will Tony Tremmel and Marlene Schmötz start and where will the upcoming Alpine winters be? The frame calendar, now known, provides the answer to this question.

The final race calendar must be confirmed by the FIS Calendar Conference 2021 at the end of the month. The dates that also influenced the World Cup debut Marlene Schmotz established from SC Ritzach-Egern to SC Leitzachtal and Toni Tremmel.

Whether slalom, giant slalom or a combination: Schmötz has been part of the elite for years when he is fit. And because of his versatility, the 27-year-old is also facing an appointment hunt. Traditionally, the World Cup kick-off takes place at Rettenbachferner in Sölden on October. The purpose of this opening date is not only to get tough fans in the mood for the winter, but also to remind them that the time has come to look for new equipment. There is a huge slalom for men and women on the glacier at Tyrol in Austria. So the first fixed date for Shamotz.

Four weeks later, the World Cup began with a slalom in Levi, Finland. Tremmel, who won a personal debut with his second place in the overall European Cup standings (we reported), would find himself swinging between the tilt bars as well as Schmötz.

Travel to North America begins in Scandinavia. Not for Rottacher and Fischbachauerin, as only high-speed races are held here. From the United States and Canada, the World Cup begins in France, where Shamötz competes in a giant slalom at Curtwell. Tremmell tackles a slalom in Val d’Ar. Shortly before Christmas she raced on the schedule in Madonna di Camplaggio, Italy. Just before the turn of the year, Fischbachau natives can collect World Cup points in the slalom and giant slalom in Lienz, Austria.

Traditionally, January is the most intensive month for slalom riders who start here in Zagreb, Edelboden, Weingen, Kitzbühel and Schladling. But even Schmötz has very little time to revive here. Traveling from Croatia (Zagreb / ​​Slalom) to Slovenia (Maribor / two giant slalom), Austria (Flacha / Slalom) to Italy (Kronplatz / giant slalom).

The Olympic Winter Games will take place in Beijing from 4 to 20 February. Of course, participation in China will be an absolute dream for Schmötz and Tremmel, which they can fulfill with a good performance. After highlights before and after the final events in all Alpine disciplines in mid-March in Maribel, France, Shamotz still hits the slopes in Switzerland (Lenzerheide) and Sweden (RE) in slalom and giant slalom. After Beijing, Tremmel has placed another slalom ahead of him in Kranjska Gora (Slovenia).
