Altendorf SZ/Edmonton – Arya M. Sharma, Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of Alberta, joins Oviva’s advisory board. The Schwyz start-up contributes to the fight against obesity with tailor-made nutritional advice.

According to Oviva, he is considered one of the world’s leading thinkers in obesity research.

Oviva provides technology-enhanced, therapeutic nutritional advice. The start-up utilizes a network of nutritionists and consulting technology. So it can provide personalized assistance through mobile phone. Specifically, Oviva’s solution is designed to help people with conditions such as diabetes and obesity-related health problems.

Founded in 2014, the start-up secured $80 million in a round of financing about a year ago. Besides, it’s mid-September. Top 25 Swiss Scale-Up 2022 has been chosen. The list is published as part of the Top 100 Swiss Startups Awards and showcases promising young start-ups. SSP
