It was up 0.12% at the end of trading in Toronto.
Best performance of the season in Render Vermilion Energy Inc. (TSX:), which closed 9.47% or 1.10 points higher at 12.71. George Weston Limited (TSX:) meanwhile ended at 136.57, adding 6.38% or 8.19 points. Birchcliffe Energy Limited (TSX:) rose 5.19%, or 0.345 points, to 6.995 in late trading.
The worst performer of the session was Lightspeed Commerce Inc (TSX:), which fell 11.50%, or 16.42 points, to 126.34. Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corp. (TSX:) closed at 34.01, down 7.46% or 2.74 points. OceanGold Corp. (TSX:) was down 5.73% or 0.125 points at 2.055.
On the Toronto Stock Exchange, advance stocks fell from 539 to 444 and ended 116 unchanged.

The S&P/TSX, which measures the implied volatility of options, was unchanged at 0% at 11.27.
Gold futures for December delivery were down 0.70%, or $12.15, at $1,725.35 per troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude for delivery in November fell 0.61%, or 0.46, to $74.83 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract was down 0.40%, or 0.31, to trade at $78.04 a barrel.
CAD/USD was down 0.49% at 0.7843, while CAD/EUR was up 0.30% at 0.6764.
US dollar index futures were up 0.66% at 94.398.
