EnBW wants to save about 180 million euros by 2025

Karlsruhe energy supplier EnBW wants to save about 180 million euros over the next four years – by bundling efficiencies and spending money more efficiently. A company spokesperson gave this information on Wednesday. The project, called “Performance in Growth” (PIW), is clearly not about a savings program for individual business sectors, she said. Rather, processes should be optimized, costs should be kept under control and look to the future. “Only euros that really serve growth in different business sectors are to be spent,” she explained. “Stuttgarter Zeitung” previously reported.

PiW was launched in autumn and officially launched in spring 2021. It was initially communicated internally. The plan is “a program to increase operational efficiency in the development phase” and not a cost reduction program. “Today’s NBW claims to better design processes and structures from the start and not just correct them when it is really too late.”

It doesn’t change anything in terms of development goals. In March this year, the new earnings target was set to break the three billion euro mark by 2025. For the current fiscal year, EnBW aims to increase by two to seven per cent to EUR 2.83 to 2.98 billion. This would mean that the group would increase its operating profit for the fifth time in a row.
