ESC 2021: Fans gossip about presenter Barbara Schoenberger's dress

Before the big start to the ESC finals, Barbara Schönberger controls the countdown to the Eurovision Song Contest. But TV viewers make fun of the presenter’s dress.

Hamburg / Rotterdam – Millions of viewers: sit in front of the TV – they are eagerly waiting to see how 26 countries perform their songs at the “Eurovision Song Contest” 2021 at Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam. For Germany, Jendrick is debuting “I Don’t Feel Hate”. But before the big show, broadcaster ARD showed a live broadcast from Hamburg, where Barbara Schoenberger moderated the ESC countdown. Shortly before the live broadcast, the 47-year-old admitted in an Instagram video that she does not yet know what the rules of ESC actually are. Of course it was just a joke. But TV viewers: joked about the presenter’s dress rather inside.

In the social media network, users talk about 47 years of outfits. “Where did Babra Schoenberger get this dress from?”, “What is she wearing there?” As well as “Sorry – but Babra Schoenberger’s dress looks like something out of a doll’s wardrobe. It actually works better!”, Comments. The moderator gave a brief about her dress in an Instagram video.

But this is not the first time that TV viewers “blaspheme” about the presenter’s dress. Still, there were some fans who took their favorite presenters under guard: “Oh Babra, your attire is always an eye-catcher and the number one topic of conversation,” said one user. Will the presenter make a statement on his Instagram account? After the ESC finals, the 47-year-old will be replaced at GenDrick Live in Rotterdam and will be talked about his performance and scoring.
