Radical move makes teams happy

Now the FIA can take a radical step. A regionalization of the racing calendar is up in the air. In this way Formula 1 can improve its carbon footprint and significantly save on logistics. Haas team boss Gunther Steiner is excited about such an idea. “It would be great if we could group the races regionally,” the 57-year-old was quoted as saying by “MotorsportMagazon.com”. The challenge of flying from continent to continent is great for the team. “You’re about to fly the next race and have to be ready within a few days.” Steiner is relying on Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. “I know Stefano is working very hard on this, next year it will go in the right direction.” According to the magazine, all ten team bosses are up for regionalisation.
