From World Footballers to World Coaches: An Overview of All the Nominees for FIFA’s “The Best” Award

FIFA on Monday published its list of nominations for the official election of “The Best FIFA Football Awards 2021”. The list of candidates has been prepared by a panel of experts for men’s and women’s football. FC Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has a chance to defend his title. Pole received the award for the first time in his career last year after a triple season in Munich.


The best footballers and coaches of the year 2021 will be selected by the world federation FIFA on January 17, 2022. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the ceremony will be held virtually the same as last year. In addition to the captains and head coaches of national teams and over 200 media representatives, fans can also vote online in four main categories. Voting is possible till December 10.
