The investigation into the Gil Ofrim case in Leipzig is yet to be completed – but there is now an important report available.

A public prosecutor’s office said on request Friday that as part of the ongoing investigation, the results are now being evaluated and appreciated. This also includes whether there are still any approaches for further investigation.
The spokesperson emphasized that details of the report and details of the testimony and interrogation would not be given at this time. This will happen only after the complete investigation is completed.
Singer Gil Ofrim described in a video in early October that an employee of “The Westin Leipzig” had asked her to remove her necklace with a Star of David. Ofrim complained. He is the son of Israeli musician Abi Ofrim (1937–2018).
The Leipzig Public Prosecutor’s Office has also received several reports of the incident – including hotel workers accused of defamation.
