Omicron: Couple escapes from quarantine hotel

A young couple has escaped from a quarantine hotel near Amsterdam. The couple is a 30-year-old Spaniard and a 28-year-old Portuguese. Both the people had come from South Africa on Friday and were then quarantined at Ramada Hotel near Schiphol Airport. A spokesman for the health authority said one of the two people had previously tested positive for the new Omicron virus. The other person had tested negative, but was still quarantined.
