Stadia Pro: Three months free with select LG TVs

Besitzer ausgewählter LG-TVs erhalten drei Monate Google Stadia Pro gratis.

Google Stadia is a cloud gaming offering from the search engine giant. Similar to Xbox Cloud or Nvidia GeForce Now, you can play games through Stadia without buying a gaming PC or console. Instead, you stream titles, similar to those from Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix, and company videos. All you need is a sufficiently fast Internet connection, a controller, and a compatible playback device. If the latter is a current LG television, there’s especially good news. Because LG and Google are giving three months of Stadia Pro to the users for free.

Of course there are some things to consider. On the one hand, the campaign only applies to Smart TVs with at least webOS 5.0. the latter is LG’s operating system, which will be used from model year 2020 TV sets. So, for example, come to the question Popular LG OLED CX, On the other hand, only new customers of Google Stadia can avail the offer. This means that if you’ve already subscribed to Stadia Pro, unfortunately you won’t be able to get three months for free.

After all, the joint campaign of LG and Google will last until January 31, 2023. If your Stadia Pro subscription ends before that, you may be able to catch up on three months of Stadia Pro afterward. LG has announced that this promotion will run in all countries where Google Stadia is available. For example, apart from Germany, Austria and Switzerland can also benefit. All information about the campaign can be found LG website,

Google Stadia Pro with 4K, HDR, 60 fps and surround sound

Technically, you’re up to date with Google Stadia Pro: with what Cloud Gaming offers, you can gamble in 4K with HDR, 60 fps and 5.1 surround sound. However, it is important to know that many games are not rendered in 4K natively. So it is mostly extrapolated material. Also, video compression naturally degrades the image quality to some extent. For example, you would expect latency greater than one sony playstation 5 or that xbox series x, Cloud gaming isn’t a complete replacement for consoles or gaming PCs yet, but it can be a good option, especially for casual games.

There are over 250 games in the Google Stadia Store. Below are the titles like cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil Village, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and many more. Note: Games you purchase from the Stadia Store can only be used through the Cloud Gaming offer. This is different from Nvidia GeForce Now, for example, where you buy games through a connected store like Steam or the Epic Games Store. You can then play the title on your PC as well. However, you can continue to use Google Stadia after your Pro subscription expires. But then you’ll technically be downgraded and limited to a maximum resolution of 1080p.

If you own a participating LG TV, you should visit the LG Content Store on the TV. You should see a notification banner there. On clicking on it a QR code will appear. Scan it with your smartphone and the redemption process should begin. We wish you lots of fun with Cloud Gaming!
