Federal police announced on Saturday that they brought 20 men and three women with three vans to Bavaria “in a confined space”.

All Moldovans were citizens. Authorities investigated the van on Autoban 93 in the Selb and Rehau area as part of a border manhunt on Friday.

In addition to a lot of work clothes, forged documents in the form of a Romanian identity card and a driving license were found.

According to the investigation by the authorities, 20 men and three women were smuggled through Poland and the Czech Republic to pursue unauthorized work at various locations in Germany.

According to information received from investigators, two vehicle occupants were known to police, among other things, for the theft. All 26 people were transferred to the Czech Republic.

Three 20-, 33- and 38-year-old Moldovan smugglers will now have to answer for the smuggling of foreigners.
