We all know the problem of sockets that are too high to comfortably put down cell phones or have cables lying around that we constantly trip over when we’re recharging cell phone batteries. From a shampoo bottle, you can easily make a holder that doesn’t look too bad and that acts as a charging station.
how to make a cell phone charging station
In our step-by-step instructions, we show you how you can make something simple out of garbage for your everyday life.
- All you need for this hack is an empty shampoo or shower gel bottle. Wash it off thoroughly and wait till it gets really dry. It’s also best to remove the sticker. Also make sure that the width of your mobile phone fits the shampoo bottle.
- Now comes the tricky part. First, cut off the top of the shampoo bottle. Now cut out the front of the shampoo bottle as well so that there is a holder for your mobile phone.
- Last but not least, you’ll need to cut a hole in the back for the charging cable and use it to attach the bracket to the wall.
- You can decorate the charging station with stickers or pretty colors if you want.
Incidentally, you can also use the built in structure for other items and attach it to the wall as a holder of sorts for pens and odds and ends. Next to the bed, this upcycling idea also works well as a holder for your reading glasses. Simply attach it to the wall with adhesive tape or a nail.
