The Uttar Pradesh police are investigating a letter reportedly composed by the officer who led a failed raid on infamous gangster Vikas Dubey on Friday and was killed together with seven other cops. A best officer has questioned for a comprehensive inquiry into the letter, which, if uncovered and confirmed, could be damning evidence of policemen supporting the legal.

Vikas Dubey, allegedly tipped off about the raid by an insider in the police, is lacking since the massacre of cops.

Amid controversy and anger about the letter, commonly circulated on social media, Kanpur’s police chief claimed on Monday evening that it had not been observed in police information but a lookup was on for it. 

The letter was reportedly penned a few months back by Devendra Kumar Mishra, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) who was shot lifeless in the ambush by Vikas Dubey and his gentlemen, to his excellent – then Kanpur law enforcement main Anant Deo Tiwari.

The officer had complained in it about cops helping the gangster, especially Vinay Tiwari, the police officer in cost of the Chaubeypur police station, now suspended.

But we are searching at it with extra specifics and we will not hesitate to share extra aspects,” said Dinesh Kumar P, Kanpur’s police chief.

Mr Mishra led a crew of 50 policemen from 3 police stations in a raid aimed at arresting Vikas Dubey in an try to murder case. The prison is charged in 60 instances like murder, kidnapping, extortion and rioting.
