BERLIN/Benedictbeurn – The German national para-hockey team has already taken the first step towards Beijing, and is now about to take the second. Together with Benedictbührer Veit Mühlhans, the team of two national coaches Andreas Pokorny and Michael Gursinski finished second behind China at the B World Cup in Sweden after a junior training camp in Geretsid (we reported). “We were promoted to A-pool,” reports the 24-year-old striker with a lower leg amputation. At the tournament in Berlin, which began on Friday for the Germans with a match against Italy, they are looking to finally buy their ticket to the 2022 Paralympics.
