Walter Eblinger completed his training as a sports manager

renbach im increse. Walter Eblinger is currently preparing for the Handbike World Championships in Canada at a training camp abroad. Prior to this, Reinbach’s man was able to complete his training as a sports manager at the famous St. Gallen University in Switzerland. Other sporting greats such as German ex-national goalkeeper Jens Lehmann also took part in this top-class course.

Ablinger’s focus is now on the world title match, which will take place in Quebec/Canada from August 4 to August 14, 2022. “I’m not really hoping to medal, this year a top 10 result is my goal,” Eblinger said. Recently he got better and better and was able to take third place in the individual time trial at the European Cup race in Cologne and was also satisfied with his performance in the Mondsee Cycle Marathon of more than 75 kilometres. Eblinger gives extra hope that he can train overseas with a new hand bike. Ludwig Hackinger assembled Eblinger’s competition bike from an old Rio fork and new Tokio frame. Walter Eblinger insisted, “I hope to be able to break this “combi-hacky-bike” in Florida and then compete with it in Canada.”

Walter Eblinger has fond memories of the high-speed circuit in Bai-Comeau in the Canadian province of Quebec. In 2013, he won the World Championship gold on this route. The last major sporting event is the half marathon as part of the Linz Marathon on Sunday, October 23, 2022.
