Scrubs star Zach Braff (47) dated actress Florence Pugh (26) for three years.
But earlier this year, the couple secretly split, as Pugh has now revealed on Harper’s Bazaar. “We tried to part ways without the world knowing because everyone had an opinion on the relationship,” she told the magazine.
When the relationship between the two was revealed in 2019, many people on the internet condemned the couple. Main reason: Zach Braff is 21 years older than Pugh.
The actress said that Florence Pugh last became the talk of the town in July, when she wore a sheer dress to a fashion show in Rome – to hate small breasts.
The Internet’s hatred for the actress was one of the reasons for keeping the separation a secret for a long time. “We realized it would have the benefit of not telling millions of people how happy they are that we are no longer together.”
Zach Braff got his big break as the clumsy but lovable Doctor Jedi in the TV show Scrubs (2001–2010).
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, Florence Pugh also complained about paparazzi taking pictures of every moment of her life. “I don’t think every aspect of one’s life should be watched just because they have taken this job. We haven’t signed up for a reality TV show,” says the actress.
At least on screen, the Hollywood couple’s relationship is not over yet. Pugh and Braff were in the movie A Good Person shortly before their split. In the film, the Oscar-nominated actress (“Little Woman”) plays a woman trying to get her life back on track after a tragedy. Pugh told Bazaar that Braff, who also directed, wrote the role with him in mind.
