number two in the German charts
Helen Fisher Tops “Breathless”!
Helen Fisher is celebrating her big comeback after a long break. For the first single, she received none other than “Despacito” star Luis Fonsi. And success proves him right. “Vamos a Marte” pushes its classic “Breathless Through the Night” off the throne.
Helen Fischer entered the German charts at number two with her new song “Vamos a Marte” (translated: “Let’s Fly to Mars”). This is their highest single placement to date and even topped the success of “Atmlös durch die Nacht”, which peaked at number three in early 2014. She backed on a new song by Latin superstar Luis Fonsi, whose summer hit “Despacito” topped the charts for a total of 17 weeks in Germany.
Her single premiered on seven TV channels – like never before! Fans of Helen Fisher were able to check out her latest music video on YouTube and confirm with lots of hearts and smileys in the comments: They’re excited about their new summer hit.
After his break, the pop star finds himself fresh and well-rested with a new look and promises that a full album will be released soon. When she first deleted all the photos on her Instagram channel and stirred up the anticipation of her fans with new photos, She announced in her Instagram stories that the upcoming album would be her “most personal ever”..
Luis Fonsi knows the singer from Echo 2018, when they both sang “Achame la Culpa” there. In December 2018 she also sang “Despacito” in a duet on The Helen Fisher Show on ZDF. Fonsi says of the collaboration with the German pop star: “It’s a huge honor for me to be able to record ‘Vamos a Mart’ with the unique Helen Fischer.” And singing the song in German and Spanish is very exciting. However, Fischer said that she was not aiming for an international career.
