Interesting pictures in southern Hesse: A 200-metre-long queue of cars formed in front of a newly opened fast-food restaurant on Thursday evening. According to a report by a local reporter, more than 50 vehicles were parked there during peak hours. But why are they standing there and not eating at the restaurant? Quite simply: Because there isn’t a dining room.
According to a report in “Darmstadter Echo”, the total area of the combined restaurant of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Pizza Hut is about 196 square meters. It is built using a modular construction method. Therefore it is a so-called drive-thru or drive-in restaurant, i.e. car restaurant. Food can be ordered at the counter.
Apparently, some people in Roßdorf liked the concept so much that they wanted to eat chicken or pizza on opening day. It’s a shame they had to wait that long for their fast food. Sometimes fast-food cooks had to prepare 28 orders.
