Meter-long line of cars at KFC drive-in: 50 cars waiting for chicken

Cars queue over 200 meters in front of the new KFC restaurant: As there is no dining room, chicken is only available at the drive-in counter.

Interesting pictures in southern Hesse: A 200-metre-long queue of cars formed in front of a newly opened fast-food restaurant on Thursday evening. According to a report by a local reporter, more than 50 vehicles were parked there during peak hours. But why are they standing there and not eating at the restaurant? Quite simply: Because there isn’t a dining room.

According to a report in “Darmstadter Echo”, the total area of the combined restaurant of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Pizza Hut is about 196 square meters. It is built using a modular construction method. Therefore it is a so-called drive-thru or drive-in restaurant, i.e. car restaurant. Food can be ordered at the counter.

28 orders at the same time: The opening of KFC has already paid off.

Apparently, some people in Roßdorf liked the concept so much that they wanted to eat chicken or pizza on opening day. It’s a shame they had to wait that long for their fast food. Sometimes fast-food cooks had to prepare 28 orders.
