After the racism scandal in Duisburg: what's next? These three scenarios are in the room

After the third division game between MSV Duisburg and VfL Osnabrück was cancelled, the sports court of the German Football Association could pass three separate decisions.

Depending on the exact conditions, the game can be rated for both Osnabrück and Duisburg.

The third possible version is a rescheduling, which was announced by the Sports Court on Monday at the request of the DPA.

Play was first interrupted on Sunday in the 35th minute and was canceled outright shortly after as Osnabrück attacker Aaron Opoku (23) was attacked by a Duisburg spectator.

In case of racist incidents, a three-stage plan prepared by the DFB was implemented.

Decisive for the evaluation of a unique event so far in the three German professional leagues, are the statements of those involved.

The DFB control committee had already launched an investigation on Sunday and asked both clubs and referee Nicolas Winter (29) to comment. If these are available, the sports court will deal with the matter.
