Austria: Lockdown ends - 2G. For

Austria’s government is adamant on this: the lockdown should end on Sunday – but not for everyone. The new freedoms apply only to vaccinated and healthy people. There are regional differences in relief.

Austria is reopening, the lockdown will end on Sunday, and the normally normal working week should resume on Monday. But only for those who have been vaccinated and who have recovered.

“A relief,” says Austria’s chancellor Karl Nehmer, nothing more. So even in lockdown this unvaccinated person remains, in ten days there will be another assessment, in other words: it will be checked how many people have been vaccinated by then. It is up to every illiterate person to free himself from the lockdown.

conditions remain

For everyone with 2G proof – vaccinated or recovered – restaurants, hotels, theaters and cinemas will reopen from Sunday, but with strict conditions. 2G should be controlled, apart from eating food, wearing FFP2 mask and curfew at 11 pm should be imposed. You can celebrate indoors with up to 25 people, with more outside.

Vaccinations and convocations are allowed up to 2000 in large cinemas and cinemas, if there are enough clearly allocated seats. This applies throughout Austria. However, different federal states can and do do this as the coronavirus situation is critically different: Upper Austria remains in lockdown for a week, hotels in Vienna, Salzburg, Lower Austria and Styria open a few days later. Huh.
