Entry restrictions are intensified!

The Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs has written the new Coronavirus Protection Ordinance for entry restrictions for countries that have dangerous mutations of coronovirus on ten pages. The final decision (available from BILD) stated: “The pace of the spread of variants in these countries is particularly worrying.”

Accordingly, the ban on entry of Great Britain, Ireland, Portugal, Brazil and South Africa will be applicable from tomorrow and from Sunday to Lesotho and Esawatini in Southern Africa as well. These countries are classified by the federal government as so-called virus variant regions. The regulation will be in force until 17 February.

And mutations are dangerous: “There is a risk that the effectiveness of currently used vaccines against new variants will decrease because neutral antibodies produced by vaccination provide poor protection against modified viruses,” the reason for the measures. Regulation. These phenomena are currently being investigated in several scientific studies.

Restrictions on entry are to be made in Germany for people with residence and residence rights and for the movement of goods. Strict test and quarantine requirements apply to German returns. According to the Conservation Ordinance, airlines and rail, bus or shipping companies will no longer be allowed to transport people from the designated areas to Germany on Saturday.
