News of December 4, 2021

Bishop Dr. Stephen Ackerman has named the management teams for 15 pastoral rooms to be built in the Diocese of Trier on January 1, 2022. 20 more to follow on January 1, 2023. Each team is headed by a priest as the dean, with one or two women and men working closely in management. In doing so, they each perform their own tasks assigned by the bishop.

Trier / Newwide. Earlier, after an exploratory phase lasting from January to July, Bishop Ackerman had formally heard the deaneries and parishes about the changes to come.

Pastors Peter Dorenbacher (64), Susan Schneider (54) and Michael Jagger (38) are part of the leadership team of the pastoral room at Newwide. Dorenbacher is currently the managing dean of Neuwied, he hails from Freisen-Grügelborn in the district of St Wendel (Saarland) and lives in Neuwied-Angers. Schneider has been a community official in Koblenz (Keselheim-Neuendorf-Lützel) for more than 25 years since his training as a graduate religious and social pedagogue. She comes from Erpel/Rhine and lives in Koblenz. Jagger is currently rented in Koblenz, comes from Andernach and lives in Cruft.

The areas of responsibility for the women and men who lead pastoral rooms in the future are diverse: they will support the parishes together with pastoral workers and staff and ensure that the results of the synod are implemented in a missionary, diaconal and Huh. local church development. In addition, they should set priorities within the framework of the framework model, bring together the perspective of pastoral care, caritas and other collaborative partners, and promote church spaces.
