On Saturday evening, HC Pustertal met the Canadian University Team Concordia Stingers. Wolves went down with 2:4 at Brunico.

Wolves’ winning streak has now come to an end, after three victories against Innsbruck, Thurgau and Bietigheim. Paster suffered a 4-2 loss against the Concordia Steelers. In addition to Dante Hanoun, coach Stephen Maier also had to do without Marc-Olivier Roy, Ben Newhouse Dan Catanacki and goalkeeper Jake Smith.

The Canadian guests were not impressed by the jetlag, as they swung into action like firefighters. The first attack was successful, and just 27 seconds later Tyler Hyland defeated Tomas Scholl in a Wolves goal. In terms of play, the Canadians were clearly better than black and yellow in the first third and after a while also increased to 3:0. Shortly before the first break, Anthony Bardaro managed to make it 3–1 thus avoiding a complete mess in the first third.

In the second third, Wolves came into play better and Marco Sanna (25th) made the game exciting again with his own goal to make it 2:3. Despite a great effort from the paster, the run to catch was not successful and Concordia made things clear with an empty net hit and made it 4:2 shortly before the end.
