According to a media report, American rapper Takeoff has been shot dead. “Migos,” a 28-year-old member of the rap trio, was shot Tuesday night at a bowling club in the Texan city of Houston, a representative for the AP news agency confirmed. Celebrity portal “TMZ” had earlier reported this.

The musician, whose real name is Kirschnick Khari Ball, was with his bandmate Quavo when an altercation broke out, “TMZ” reported. Then someone opened fire. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. (local time; 8:30 a.m. CET).

Houston police confirmed that a man was shot in the night, but did not initially provide the identity of the victim. Accordingly, the two injured were taken to hospitals by car.
