In the run-up to Gamescom’s developer conference Devcom 2022 is back with strong numbers after two purely digital editions.

The team at the association’s own DevCom GmbH summarizes a successful DevCom week from August 22 to August 26, 2022: Over 3,500 participants followed the site and online developer conference. 180 speakers chose over 120 individual program items over eight stages – lectures, panels, seminars and workshops broadcast via live stream on-site in Cologne.

Devcom week was filled with receptions, parties and a feisty networking dinner on Sundays at Flora in Cologne. Additional live programming on Twitch reached 765,000 viewers – more than three times the 2019 values. Bids included letsplay, fireside chat and interviews.

Devcom CEO Stephen Reichart: “We are overwhelmed by the number of participants at our first fully hybrid DevCom developer conference. According to Reichert, there are talks and panels “Excellently received by audiences worldwide and locally” – Their thanks go out not only to the speakers who would have shared their knowledge and experience, but also to their DevCom team.

The main sponsors for this year were payment service providers Xsolla and Frankfurt Developer Studio crytek,
